Holly has been divorced three times. Her first marriage was with actor Danny Quinn. They got married in 1991, and divorced two years later in 1993. Jim Carrey and she first met in 1994 while doing auditions for Ace Ventura Pet Detective. They didn't get the part but developed a connection when they shot Dumb and Dumber. They got married in 1996. The marriage was only a short time prior to their split in 1997. The year 2001 saw Holly was married Francis Greco. A Canadian born investment banker. In 2008, while married to Greco, she became an Canadian citizen. After divorce, the couple split in 2014. Holly is a resident of Oakville, Ontario, Canada and has three kids. Holly, Grant, their families, and Alexander's brother Holly created in 1992 the A Fund for Hobart Colleges as well as William Smith Colleges. Holly expressed her feelings about Alexander: "He was an Alexander who was full of hope aspirations, hopes and dreams." In 1992, Holly, her father Grant, as well as their families founded the A Fund at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in memory of Alexander, who according to Holly "was a young man with dreams, hopes, and goals."

Alaina is born November 8, 1994, to Kristy the late J. J. J. Suddeth of Rossville, Georgia. Alaina started singing at the age of three years old. The first time she performed in front of an audience was with a local kids choir. Her subsequent public appearances included an annual celebration that featured karaoke. She performed at churches, in restaurants, during family holidays and anywhere she could within a 30 mile distance. Alaina was a contestant with her first Southern Stars Pageant at 8 and was crowned the winner. That year she was crowned the contest for talent of children at Chattanooga's Riverbend Festival. This festival permitted her to compete on its main stage when she was 12, after having performed there every year. She traveled from Orlando, Florida, when she was ten years old to compete with the American Model and Talent Competition. She defeated hundreds of children to win the competition. Alaina sang as part of Georgia Country Gospel association's Kids' Group. Alaina first visited Nashville when she was 12 years old. She sang at Tootsie's and other local bars on Broadway. Alaina is the 2009 winner in Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park's WinniSTAR young talent contest. Alaina was in awe of singing by her cousin, Holly Witherow, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Alaina had previously worked at CiC's Pizza. She played cheerleading at Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School in Fort Oglethorpe Georgia.
